Jenny Brophy, PA-C

One of Derick Dermatology’s many superstars is Jenny Brophy, PA-C. Jenny was excited enough by the prospect of joining the Derick Dermatology team that she was willing to interview with them a mere three days before her wedding. Jenny enjoys making every experience meaningful for her patients. “My goal is to create a lasting personal relationship with each of my patients,” Jenny said in her Derick Dermatology provider biography. “I am committed to providing the best care possible utilizing individualized treatment plans and advancing medical technology. My hope is that every one of my patients leaves the office educated, comforted, and with a smile.”

Jenny graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University. She continued her education at Marquette with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Of all the specialties in the world, one might wonder why Jenny decided to become a Physician Assistant certified in dermatology. Her answer is simple: “I think the skin is the most interesting organ that we have!” Jenny said. What she specifically enjoys about being a dermatology PA is the wide variety of pathology associated with the skin, how each condition presents uniquely, and the procedures that she is required to perform on a day-to-day basis.

While she is well-known at Derick Dermatology for her passion for patient care, Jenny is also passionate about her life outside of the office, as well. When not at work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, organizing, and following all of the Chicago sports teams. She has even had some personal experience with athletics. “I almost won the state three-point contest for basketball in high school,” she said, “But I choked in the last round and only made three out of fifteen.”

Who knows what direction Jenny’s life would have taken if she won that contest. One thing that is sure is that Derick Dermatology is lucky to have her on their team now.
